About Carol

Chasing Grace is a dream come true. It’s the book I’ve wanted to write all my life.

I have made my living as a freelance writer for 40 years, but this is my first novel. Writing this book was like falling in love, except that the honeymoon just keeps on going–and I can’t wait to write the next one.

When I’m not writing fiction, have two other occupations:

EDITOR, BOOK DOCTOR, GHOSTWRITER. All my editorial hats are described at www.carolcostello.net, which also hosts my blog, WRITE IN THE ZONE. I work with people to publish their fiction and nonfiction books in the best possible way, for the largest possible audience. I’ve been an acquisitions and developmental editor, a copywriter for nonprofits, and the book doctor and ghostwriter for some 30 books, including two national bestsellers. I specialize in psychology, creativity, spirituality, personal growth, motivation, and memoir.

MASTER SALES COACH, SPEAKER, AND AUTHOR. My selling primer, THE SOUL OF SELLING, offers an easy, natural way to sell based on your own personal values. It contains everything I learned as the original Sales Director for two spiritual organization that are now thriving worldwide. I believe that you can get exactly the sales numbers you want, and at the same time honor, respect, and appreciate everyone with whom you speak. I focus on the honor and joy of selling, and on how to have fun and make money while becoming the person you’ve always wanted to be. All of this, as well as info on coaching, consulting, and speaking isĀ at www.soulofselling.com.

I began meditating and studying Advaita Vedanta in 1980, traveled the world with extended stays in India, hiked down and up the Grand Canyon, adopted two magnificent and smoochy orange tabby cats, played a lot of tennis and golf, and was certified as a spiritual director. Now I live across the street from the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco and speak around the country on selling as service, creativity, and self publishing. M.A. University of Michigan.

With Chasing Grace, I feel as if I’ve come home and also started a whole new part of the journey. I hope you’ll share it with me.
